How to trigger an alert with the Lone Worker Device

An Alert in Safepoint is an urgent notification raised when there’s a potential risk to your safety. Alerts can be triggered manually by a worker or automatically by the system, and they are always directed to Safepoint’s 24/7 monitoring centre.

The Lone Worker Device has multiple ways of triggering an alarm:

Manual SOS alert

Press and hold the SOS button on the device for 2 seconds, then release. It will flash and vibrate indicating the SOS has been triggered.

Fall alert

When the device detects a fall, it will trigger a voice warning that the fall alert has been activated. Press the SOS button to cancel if this was a mistake.

Tilt alert

When the device has been tilted by 90 degrees for 3 minutes, it will trigger a voice warning that the tilt alert has been activated. Press the SOS button to cancel if this was a mistake.

Geofence alert

When the device's location is detected IN/OUT a geofence region, it will trigger an alert.

Note: Manual SOS is included, however fall, tilt and geofence are optional extras.
