Note: Only Company Owners and Admins can add location beacons.

If you use a Lone Worker Device and would like more precise location information when an alert is raised, like in a large multi-story building, underground, or if GPS signal is poor, then location beacons are a great addition.

How do they work?

When an alert is raised with the Lone Worker Device, it detects nearby location beacons and reports them in the Safepoint Portal and Mobile App. Your guardian will then be able to pin-point exactly where the lone worker raised the alert.

Each beacon is given a name, tags and an optional GPS location to give the responders as much descriptive information of their location as possible.

If you do not yet have beacons and would like to purchase them, please visit our store.

  1. Make sure you are logged into the Web Portal

  2. Click 'Settings' in the left hand side bar

  3. Click 'Beacons'

  4. Click 'Add Beacons'

  5. In the 'Mac address' field, either type out the Mac address found on the beacon, or click 'Scan QR code' and scan the QR code on the back of the beacon
