Note: Only Company Owners or Admins can check the battery of a Location Beacon.
The Location Beacon battery can only be read via the Web Portal or Mobile App, unfortunately there's no indicator on the beacon itself. The battery is reported to our servers via the Lone Worker Device whenever it's detected in the nearby vicinity.
The beacon uses a CR2477 battery and should last up to 2 years. We recommend periodically inspecting the battery via the Web Portal or Mobile App to see if they need replacement.
Via the Web Portal
Make sure you are logged into the Web Portal
Click 'Settings' in the left hand side bar
Click 'Beacons'
Find the beacon you're interested in
Under the 'Status' column, there will be a battery icon. Hover over it for the percentage, charging state, and the last time it was updated.
Via the Mobile App
Open the Safepoint app
Tap the menu button in the top left corner
Tap 'Beacons'
Find the beacon and tap it
Under 'Battery', you will see the battery state.
