SMS notifications allow team members to receive task updates to their mobile device via an SMS message. These notifications can be set up to be sent for task completion and/or alarms as well as for team broadcasts.

SMS notifications can be enabled or disabled at any point and are charged on a per-usage monthly basis, a full breakdown of prices can be found here. Certain subscription plans come with a number of free SMS notifications included.

Note: Don't forget that before Guardians can receive SMS notifications they will have to verify their mobile telephone number in their account settings on the Web Portal!

Step-by-step guide to setting up SMS notifications

Note: Enabling SMS notifications will immediately begin sending SMS notifications for any teams that have it set as active. Don’t worry, if this is your first time enabling SMS notifications all teams will have SMS notifications inactive.

Step 1

  1. Ensure you are logged into the Portal and you are a Billing Admin.

  2. Open your company's settings by clicking on your company's name in the menu on the left.

  3. Scroll down to the "Subscription Plan" section and click "Manage SMS".

  4. From here you can enable or disable SMS notifications company-wide at any point. You can also set a usage alert and we'll notify you by email once you reach your usage amount. Note: We do not disable your SMS notifications once you hit your usage alert amount, you must do that manually.

Step 2

Once SMS notifications are enabled at a company-level, you must activate them on a team-level. This allows you to customise what notifications your Guardians receive on a team-by-team basis.

  1. Ensure you are a Billing Admin, Company Admin or a Team Admin of the team you wish to update.

  2. Scroll down to the "Notifications Settings" section.

  3. In the "SMS" row, select which actions will trigger an SMS notification to be sent. Once selected, SMS notifications will immediately begin to send when these actions occur.

Notification Actions

  • Task completed: All Guardians in the team will receive an SMS notification when a worker completes a task

  • Alert triggered: All Guardians in the team will receive an SMS notification when a worker triggers any alarm

  • Team broadcast: All members of the team will receive an SMS notification when a team broadcast is sent from the Web Portal
