What if I have little or no signal?

Signal is required to communicate with the web portal from the mobile app: creating tasks, extending tasks, completing tasks, canceling alerts etc. However, once your task is created it is managed by our server, so signal is only required to send background data, such as location, to the web portal.

As your task is managed by our server, if your task expires it will still trigger an emergency alert even if you have no signal. You may see a loading icon on the emergency alert screen on your device, however this is simply double checking that the emergency alert has been submitted.

This actually means that you could start a safety task with a check-in time of 15 minutes, turn off your mobile device, and the time-out alarm will still be triggered by our servers when the task times out!
