For the majority, both the Safepoint web portal and mobile app will work without having to change any settings. However, in some cases, your IT department may have to allow Safepoint through the firewall or install it on your work devices allowing certain permissions.

Web Portal

Allow access through your firewall to the following on port 443:

  • portal.safepointapp.com (Safepoint web application)

  • api.safepointapp.com (Safepoint API)

  • cdn.safepointapp.com (Safepoint static files such as profile pictures)

  • safepoint-user-logos-public.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com (Safepoint profile pictures)

  • s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com (Safepoint static files such as profile pictures)

  • fonts.googleapis.com (Web fonts)

  • fonts.gstatic.com (Web fonts)

  • maps.googleapis.com (Google maps)

  • google.com (Google Recaptcha)

  • m.stripe.com (Card payments)

  • sentry.io (Error reporting)

iOS

The Safepoint iOS app can be found here. The iOS permissions required are:

  • Location (Always preferred) (For Location tracking)

  • Bluetooth (For wearable panic alarm)

  • Microphone (For voice recordings)

  • Notifications (To send push notifications)

  • Background App Refresh (Background task updates)

  • Mobile Data

Android

The Safepoint Android app can be found here. The Android permissions required are:

  • Location (For Location tracking and wearable panic alarm)

  • Microphone (For voice recordings)

  • Storage (To save data to the device)
