You must choose or generate a password for your Safepoint account that is at least:

  • 8 characters long, with at least 1 letter and 1 number, OR

  • 15 characters long, with any combination of characters

To keep your account secure, we recommend you follow these best practices:

  • Use a password manager, such as LastPass or 1Password, to generate a password of at least 15 characters

  • Generate a unique password for Safepoint. If you use your Safepoint password elsewhere and that service is compromised, then attackers or other malicious actors could use that information to access your Safepoint account

  • Never share your password, even with someone from your organisation. Each person should use their own personal account on Safepoint

  • Change your password at least once every year, or immediately if you believe your Safepoint account has become compromised

  • Never write your password on a piece of paper that is accessible to others
