Creating tasks in the App

Part 5 of the Getting Started guide

Once you and your staff are in a company, you are ready to start tasks.

Note: You can only start tasks in the app.

To start a task, simply:

  1. Open the app

  2. Tap the blue rounded ‘Task’ button at the bottom right of the screen

  3. Give your task a name

  4. Set a duration

  5. Review and tap ‘Create Task’

  6. During an active task, you can extend and complete a task, and you can also request emergency help

When you're starting with Safepoint, we'd recommend running some test tasks with an admin or guardian looking at their own Web Portal or App; this will help your team get to grips with the new system.

Tip: try and estimate accurately how long your task will take. If you're in doubt or have a very long task ahead of you, try setting a shorter timer. You can always extend the time during the task or finish up and create a new task. Shorter task lengths mean better response times in the case of an emergency.
