Adding or updating escalation contacts for a team

How to add or update escalation contacts in the Safepoint Web Portal and Mobile App

Note: Only Company Owners, Admins and Team Admins can add or update the escalation contacts for a team.

Escalation contacts are visible to your internal Guardians and our 24/7 alert monitoring team when responding to alerts. They allow the responder to inform key contacts about the emergency they are responding to.

This can be configured on a team-by-team basis, which allows the flexibly of setting things up to match your use-case.

Web Portal

  1. Click 'Settings' in the left hand side bar

  2. Click 'Teams'

  3. Find the team and select it
    ​Note: See this article if you need help searching for the team

  4. Under the 'Escalation Contacts' section, click "Edit"

  5. Click "Add contact" to add a contact

  6. Fill in the name, role and phone number fields

  7. Click "Add another" if you want to add more contacts
    ​Note: You can remove by clicking "Remove" next to the contact, or reorder them by clicking and holding the handle on the right and dragging the contact to it's new position

  8. Tap "Save" once finished, or "Cancel" to revert the changes

Mobile App

To add a new escalation contact

  1. Open the App

  2. Tap the menu icon at the top left of the screen

  3. Tap 'Escalation contacts'

  4. Tap 'Add' or 'Add contact'

  5. Fill in their name, their role to you (e.g. H&S Manager), and their phone number

  6. Tap 'Save' once you're finished

  7. You can tap 'Add' again to add more

To edit an existing escalation contact

  1. Tap the contact you want to edit

  2. Edit their name, role or phone number

  3. Tap 'Save' once you're finished

To delete an escalation contact

  1. Tap the contact you want to delete

  2. Tap 'Delete contact'

  3. Tap 'Yes' to confirm
