How to respond to an alert in the Safepoint Web Portal & Mobile App

When a user triggers an alert, Guardians will be notified and can respond to it via the web portal or mobile app. Here they will see real-time information such as the worker’s GPS location, device battery status, the type of alert, and any provided notes.

I. Worker triggers alarm

The worker triggers a manual or automatic alert.

II. Guardians are notified

Guardians are notified via the app, email or SMS, depending on your team notification settings. They will also be notified via an audible alarm sound with a fullscreen popup if the web portal is open.

III. Taking action

  1. Open the alert: The guardian now opens the alert to get crucial safety information such as who triggered the alert and where they are via GPS.

    1. Via the web portal: Click 'Live Dashboard' in the left sidebar, then click the alert

    2. Via the app: Tap 'Tasks' at the bottom of the screen, then tap the alert

  2. Acknowledge the alert: Press 'Acknowledge Alert', this will inform other Guardians that you are taking control of the situation. It will also inform the Worker that you are responding to their alert

  3. Follow Internal Procedures: You can now follow your company procedures to resolve the alert. The web portal and app will display company escalation contacts and the worker phone to call if provided.

  4. Close alert: Once you have resolved the situation click 'Resolve'. You will be presented with a form to complete detailing the incident and how you resolved it. Add as much detail as possible.
