A Task in Safepoint is a timed safety check designed to protect lone or at-risk workers. Tasks let you set a timer when starting work so that your guardians know you are safe.

How Tasks Work

  1. Start a task – Create a task in the Safepoint mobile app by giving it a name and choosing a duration.

  2. Active monitoring – While the task is active, your assigned guardians can see your status and location in real time.

  3. Extend, or complete – Before the timer ends, you must either extend the timer or complete the task.

  4. Automatic alert – If the timer runs out with no action, an emergency alert is triggered and guardians are notified to respond.

Why Tasks Are Important

  • Peace of mind – Guardians can see that you are safe while working.

  • Built-in escalation – If you don’t respond in time, Safepoint automatically raises the alarm.

  • Flexible use – Tasks can be used for short jobs, long shifts, or any situation where regular safety check-ins are needed.
