Force closing Safepoint will not affect any currently active task or emergency alert. However, if Safepoint is not open in the background it may be prevented from sending safety data, such as location, to Guardians in App or Web Portal.

We recommend always leaving Safepoint open in the background during an active task or emergency alert.

Note: If you are using a wearable panic alarm you will need to ensure that you keep the app open in the background at all times for it to function.
